I have a collection of silverware which has collected a lot of rust. What is the best way to shine like new?
I heard about a method involving aluminum foil and some other chemical, but does not remember this method. I just remember seen it done, and the silver looking spotless. All suggestions will be useful. Respondents thank you.
I use this method where necessary caution does not leave for long periods (Overnite Do not stack a load, the best throw pieces do not touch Oh, and the slippery Viscous is tarnished! Rinse and wipe the polish dry running water. Tip: Do not mix metals with money to sink Silver Polish — There are many different home remedies to polish silver, but the best way is to magnetize tarnish away: Submerge silver pieces in water containing a certain type of salt (table salt, sea salt, rock salt, baking soda) and aluminum (or use a pan made of aluminum or paper strips aluminum in water). The aluminum acts as a magnet in salt water and attract the tarnish away money. After leaving the money in the aluminum salt with water for several minutes, remove the pieces and wipe them dry (you may need repeating the process several times to seriously shaken money). For large objects (like plates), run water very hot in a plugged sink, adding a sheet of aluminum foil and a handful of salt. Let stand for two to three minutes, then remove, rinse and dry. To plate, put a sheet of aluminum foil in the bottom of a saucepan, add two or three inches of water, teaspoon salt and a teaspoon of baking soda. Add silver and boil for two or three minutes, then remove, rinse and dry. For jewelry, fill a glass jar half full with thin strips of foil, add a tablespoon of salt and fill pot with water Cold. Keep covered. To use, drop jewels for a few minutes, remove, wash and dry
