You may have heard many soul rhythms in several concerts. May be you have even danced to some of them. The only instrument that can best release the dancer from the interior batteries.
Drum sets are made mainly of drums and some other percussion instruments. A drummer plays each them. A drum set includes a snare drum, bass drum, two rack-mounted tom-toms, a floor tom, Hi hat cymbals, a ride cymbal and a crash cymbal.
There is another type of battery, which is called a fusion kit. This particular type of equipment is a little smaller than normal drum sets and has one single rack tom. The pedal and stand rack are two very important elements of the base drum sets.
Apart from these conventional batteries include some other instruments such as the China cymbal, wood block, cowbell and tambourine. Professional drummers use the lot of many other percussion also. But they are not considered part of the drum kit.
The drummer plays the drum with a drumstick. They hit on top of the drum with the stick and this move creates a vibration that creates sound. To heat the drum, the drummer needs to use the pedal. The hi hat is played by the pedal and it gives a kind of chick sound. Sometimes, to get a different sound, some drummer plays the hi hat with the stick.
Different genres of music have different styles of play and therefore the components of batteries are decided. For example, in rock and roll, especially the hat Hi, bass drum, snare and ride cymbal stays in use. Sometimes, the crash cymbal and the tom-toms are used for filler. In the rock and role sticks are used to play Hi hats.
Jazz music is again a game different model. Here, the ride cymbal is the instrument core. Hi hats are played by pedals and other equipment are used to give support.
Many of improvisation that happens while playing different genres of music. Improvisations even take place in different parts of the same kinds of music too.
Previously, batteries have been called traps. This term has become obsolete now. In a first stage, the drum rims were made of wood. There was no drum is at this time. Instead of drum stands, there was a metal grid. All the drums were set up on this rack.
The drums were then made of calfskin. But they faced a lot of tuning problems. The cymbals are very small and they were not at all good quality. They hung with curtain cords. But the cords of curtains have not been able to hold the cymbals bid correctly. Finally Gene Krupa invented a cymbal stand.
Today drum sets have been fit and science. A complete drum set is now not only different types of drums and cymbals, but also equipment such as various percussion snare stand, cymbal stackers, different types pedals, like a string with 2 or footboard and its line of beaters, etc. producing magical swing.
